For years, people have argued about their favorite holidays, months, and especially seasons. The two most common responses to this question are Summer and Winter. However, the answer to this question is obvious. Summer is better than winter: for the weather, seasonal options, and many other factors
In the summer, you can swim and spend time outside. The sun shines, pools open, and the beaches roar with activity. Students escape school for summer break, and the whole ordeal is just a joy for all. In comparison, during the winter, you have to be freezing cold, shovel snow and be trapped indoors by snow and chilling weather conditions, while still having to make the trek to school and other activities
The Flying Onion spoke with freshman Jaden Weiner who offered his opinion, saying ¨Summer is superior to winter.¨
While winter does have some great events and options, like skiing and Christmas or Kwanzaa. Still, during the summer, you get to enjoy Memorial Day and the 4th of July. Also, the days in summer are longer, allowing for more outdoor activities and more daylight to take advantage of.
Danvers High School teacher Mr. Gebel also offered his opinion, telling us that he felt,
¨Summer is better because I get time off and I use that time for golf, I love to golf.”
The list goes on and on. Anyone with their head on straight can tell that summer is the better option, by far.
