Danvers High Baseball is starting to turn their season around, despite two losses to Hamilton-Wenham and Gloucester to start the season. After these losses, the Falcons worked for a great win over Beverly (7-1) last week.
The Falcons have been led by senior captains Bryce Clark, Parker Hamel, Josh Henry and Jason Walters. Senior Captain Bryce Clark, when asked about the first weeks of the season, said “Starting off last week with an experienced Hamilton Wenham team, and a strong pitching Gloucester team, we were tested and showed that we have a ton of potential to do good things this season.”
Clark also mentioned how sophomore Chase Richmond has been one of the key pieces to this team.
When asked about Richmond, Clark said that he is “Off to a hot start at the plate and has been very solid defensively at third base.”
Looking ahead to this week’s games against Masconomet and Winthrop, Clark added that “the upcoming stretch of games is a great opportunity to grind out some wins and get above .500, as long as we play our game.”
