Both McDonalds and Taco Bell are huge names in the fast food industry. McDonalds centers on American cuisine such as burgers and fries, while Taco Bell serves Mexican cuisine like quesadillas and tacos.
Although the two chains are very popular nationally, Taco Bells ultimately excel in a flavorful palette across the board. Taco Bell offers not only a fun and exotic food menu, but they also have creative drinks other than the original, ‘coke’ and ‘pepsi’. Taco Bell is notorious for their baja blasts, a known staple of the fast food industry. Over past years, taco bell has always been trying new ideas. For example, In 2012, when Taco Bell came out with a new product: the dorito taco. The dorito taco was made as a cheesy, crunchy hit to all buyers, and only increased in popularity once Taco Bell came out with the cool ranch flavor.
In today’s economy, every price matters. Although Taco Bell offers a cheaper price, one benefit to McDonalds is that it gives away food for ‘points’. Every visit you can earn a certain amount of points as long as you have the McDonalds App. This loyalty program allows customers to earn free food, drinks and desserts. Taco Bells app, although it offers great deals, allows points to expire after a certain amount of time. This disadvantage allows customers to either spend or lose points, ultimately making their points a use or waste situation.
When you walk into a fast food chain, typically you would expect a laid back environment. With Taco Bells warm colors, comfortable seating and their late night openings, it makes the experience very calming and enjoyable. In a typical McDonalds, the vibes are very family friendly, ensuring a comfortable environment. McDonalds achieves this is by putting families in their advertisements, making the place appear friendly and welcoming.
Finally, both McDonalds and Taco Bell are great restaurants, but personally, I think Taco bells ensure a better vibe and environment.
