Local Danvers comedian Robby Potlyo, also known as Robby RoadSteamer, is planning on suing ICE after they arrested him for trespassing.
Potlyo attended the ICE protest, on October 15th dressed in a giraffe onesie, singing a parody of Rod Stewart’s 1978 song “Da ya think Im Sexy?¨ with the lyrics changed to “if you are a Nazi – and you hate brown people – come on ICE leave Portland.¨ The protest occurred outside an ICE facility. Potlyo was arrested for not complying with an officer’s demands that he not cross the facility’s blue painted line.
Potlyo told The Salem News ¨You can clearly see that I’m on the other side of the blue line, there plenty of videos up on my youtube proving it.¨
Potlyo is currently meeting with attorneys to organize a class-action lawsuit alongside other protestors. He has also started a fund to cover the costs of the lawsuit.
¨I basically protest through a comedy vernacular,” he added,”because you can’t fight MAGA or ICE with valor, because they’re absurd to begin with.¨
