The Flying Onion’s next “Senior Spotlight” is Tyler Chisholm, a smart, kind, and compassionate young man.
Anyone who’s been able to either teach Tyler or get to know him as a person can speak to his friendly personality. He’s always willing to lend a helping hand, and is always there to cheer on his friends.
Some of Tyler’s extracurricular activities include National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, and National English Honor Society. Tyler’s also involved in the athletic department, being a three-sport athlete. He plays soccer, winter track, and spring track.
Mr. Ziemba, who taught Tyler in psychology and wrote one of his letters of recommendation, spoke to The Flying Onion on his character.
“He was a wonderful student. He did everything I asked and even more. He always “broke the mold” by branching out of his friend group to work with other students. The biggest thing was how conversive and sharing he was to me, even now that I don’t have him as a student: that personal approach to me as a teacher really stands out.”
Further, Kevin Ouellette, our previous “Senior Spotlight” and close friend of Tyler, praised Tyler for the impact his friendship has had on him.
“Tyler doesn’t take anything for granted. He’s the type of friend that people would idolize. He’s someone that appreciates who you are, is always available to vent to, and always brightens up the room.”
College decisions are about to be coming out, and Tyler is leaning towards attending either Merrimack or Quinnipiac and majoring in education. The Flying Onion wishes Tyler the best of luck in all his future endeavors!
