Popular karate show, Cobra Kai, has just recently released the middle episodes of it’s three-part sixth season. Specifically, episodes six to ten were released, and they have fans going crazy (SPOILERS AHEAD).
This mid-season release kicks off in the spot the previous cliffhanger left us with, where it shows us all of the teams lined up at the Sekai Taikai, with John Creese as one of their opponents. We also learn that a previous Miyagi-Do student, Tory Nichols, joined the enemy Cobra Kai.
This release is great because it shows how the two dojo groups, Miyagi-do and Cobra Kai, solve their differences and work together to become one (a dojo is a building where karate is taught and practiced ). The team senseis (the head coach/teacher in martial arts), Daniel La Russo (played by the original Karate Kid, actor Ralph Macchio), and Johnny Lawerence (played by the original karate kid’s competitor, actor William Zabka), have a troubling past between the two of them but decide to put it past them for the kids.
The show soon follows up with an even bigger cliffhanger in the last episode, leaving us seeing a huge fight break out throughout all of the teams at the finals of the tournament. This fight brought the terrible outcome of Kwon, a member of Cobrakai, taking his own life by accident (during episode ten), which leaves us wondering, what may happen next?
Fans wonder, who will win the major Sekai Taikai competition between the dojos? Are there new alliances that will form? Or will the drama between the dojos continue with their differences? The show has announced that the final part of the season will be released mid February – so it looks like fans will have to wait and see until then.
