Science teacher Ms. Jessie Byrne is one of our recently hired teachers here at Danvers High School.
Ms. Byrne comes to DHS after working at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School for fifteen years. Ms. Byrne heard about the job here from a fellow friend and science teacher, Mr. Will Black. Mr. Black talked about our school greatly and with a positive attitude, which inspired Ms. Byrne to apply for the job. Ms. Byrne also mentioned that one of the many reasons she came here was because she liked how the teachers and faculty collaborated and worked together and that’s something she was seeking for in a work environment.
Before Ms. Byrne started her teaching career, she worked in biotechnology research, where she first started exploring her love and passion for science. Ms. Byrne told us that her love for science is due to how it’s always getting added to, along with being refined, and she finds that exciting.
Since her arrival, Ms. Byrne has so far had a good experience and has felt very welcomed, and has been receiving positive attitudes from us Falcons. She is starting to get to know all her students and their personalities.
Overall, Ms. Byrne wants to let students know that everyone should step out of their comfort zone, do something out of their academics, or even get involved with our school activities. She wants to make sure all students get to make the most of their experience here at DHS.
To end it off, Ms. Byrne wants to share this advice: “All students should work hard and be kind and if you do these two things then you are setting yourself up for a successful life.”
We hope to show Ms. Byrne how great our school and students can really be throughout the school year, and we are excited and grateful to have her here as a Danvers Falcon. Welcome,Ms. Byrne, to Danvers High School!
