It’s not very often that Danvers businesses go viral, but Daily Harvest Cafe hit it big this summer.
Daily Harvest recently came out with a 34 oz. flavored iced latte bucket (complete with four shots of espresso), and the internet has taken notice. Many influencers have reviewed the coveted buckets, some videos getting more than 150,000 views.
Since the cafe has gone viral, Daily Harvest has seen many lines out the door and down the street. Employees have been working hard to keep up with the demand of the latte buckets, which come in flavors like Fluff-it-Bucket (peanut butter and marshmallow), “Ricotta Be Kidding Me!” (cannoli filling, chocolate chips and cannoli shell topper), Shark Attack (blue raspberry lemonade with gummy sharks and grenadine) and Sticky Situation (caramel drizzle, cinnamon bun syrup and cinnamon bun topper).
Customers have also been travelling to try this new menu item.
“We are seeing many new faces, some people have mentioned they drove from 2-3 hours away to try a coffee bucket!” said owner Brittany Raesly.
We asked DHS senior and Daily Harvest employee Kylee Collins, who frequently worked the busiest summer days, about her experience working since the coffee buckets went viral.
“Before, there were times throughout the day where we wouldn’t have as many customers and we could focus on some other tasks,” Kylee said.” Now, that’s just not really possible; we’ll have at least 4 or 5 customers in line, if not a line out the door, at all times.”
Running into many issues with wait times, the cafe has also come up with a good system to ensure that all customers get what they need in a timely manner.
“Because the line can get so long, we now have a “No Bucket “ line at the cafe to make sure that customers who call in phone orders or simply want to place a food or coffee order do not have to wait in the bucket line,” Raesly explained.
