New parts of the Epstein files, containing millions of documents pertaining to criminal activities of Jeffrey Epstein and others accused, were released last week. These new to the public files include many well-known celebrity names. They are currently being utilized in criminal cases against Epstein and his associates.
According to the New York Times, President Trump’s name appeared on these newly released files about 5,300 times, while claims made about Trump are unverified but raise concerns.
Despite his name being mentioned in these recent files, the Epstein controversy has avoided President Trump for the past year. In Trump’s 2024 campaign, he promised to release all of the Epstein files. However, once in office, President Trump showed some resistance to doing this. His struggle to release the files raised suspicion that they contained harmful information that could damage Trump’s and his associates’ reputations.
During the early 2000’s Trump and Epstein had been close friends, sharing their pursuits and interest in young women. Trump has denied any wrong-doing and downplays his and Epstein’s relationship. Files show in the year 2002, a woman, Melania, wrote a letter to Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, who’s currently serving life in prison for her involvement in sex trafficking. The email contained a reference from Trump, referring to Epstein as a “terrific guy”; he also shared “he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side”. There is speculation whether or not the “Melania” in the email is First Lady Melania Trump.
President Trump is one of many known names found in the Epstein files relating to derogatory, sexual information. The accusations in the files include alleged sexual abuse conducted by Trump and Epstein. Since these claims are unverified, there isn’t much in-depth information about the alleged abuse. A White House spokesman declared they would refuse and avoid answering any questions relating to this subject.
Although Epstein is deceased, these files are slowly uncovering the secrets behind many known, rich people and celebrities. Although some of the files are vague, much truth has been uncovered, slowly damaging the associated people’s reputations.
