This edition of senior spotlight is dedicated to Randall Martin.
Ever since Randall (Bubba) Martin transferred to Danvers High School junior year from Colorado, he has been a role model student, not only thriving academically but also athletically.
Transferring to a new school across the country junior year would be a difficult task for many, but
Bubba fit into Danvers High immediately, making friends through his easy going demeanor and through his extracurricular activities.
Athletically, Bubba has been a varsity player of both the basketball and track and field teams each year he has been here. Bubba became a starter for the basketball team this year as a forward and is known for his knockdown shooting.
Bubba is also a DECA officer in charge of community relations and a member of the English and Spanish National Honor Societies, and is taking three AP classes this year.
In addition to these accomplishments, Bubba is also well liked among his classmates and teachers, known for his kindness and humbleness.
Senior Anthony Gaudino, when asked about Bubba stated, “He’s just an all around great guy. Ever since he transferred here I have seen and heard from others only positive things about him”.
DECA and Microeconomics teacher Ms. Megan Beaulieu added, “he has a real sense of leadership and community. Even being new to this building, he brings people together.”He inspires those around him. He really lives in a way where he values everything and appreciates everything around him and has a way of making other people appreciate things.”
After high school, Bubba plans to attend either Howard University or Ohio State and pursue a law degree. We wish Bubba the best of luck in his future endeavors beyond high school.
