A 29-year-old man was found dead from a single gunshot in his home in Danvers on Bradstreet Avenue, earlier this month. This led to police believing it to be a suicidal case.
The Essex County District Attorney’s Office said that police reported to the scene just before 4 a.m. Danvers police were called to the multi-family home for a suicidal male, potentially in possession of a firearm.
The 29-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities said that the male did take his own life, and the name has not been released to the public. The police went inside the residence to find the man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Beverly police and the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council were present at the scene.
“The incident remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to Tucker’s office, the Danvers Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section and Ballistics Section, and the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner,” according to an announcement by the Essex DA’s office.
