After a refreshing spring break, the Flying Onion is back and ready to continue our Senior Spotlight column. This week, we are excited to highlight and feature, senior… Anthony Gaudino!
To kick it off, Anthony is heavily involved in many varsity athletics here at DHS. Participating in soccer, basketball, and tennis, he plays point guard and shooting guard, serves as a left back of the soccer team, and is our first doubles for tennis.
In addition to sports, Anthony is active in several honor societies and clubs. He is a member of NHS (National Honor Society), WLNHS (World Language National Honor Society), and NEHS (National English Honor Society). He also serves as our DECA’s Vice President of Fundraising, where he recently competed at DECA ICDC in Georgia.
Reflecting on his time here at Danvers High School, Anthony shared advice to both current and future students,
“Don’t take anything for granted. Your four years here go by fast.”
Business teacher and advisor, Ms. Meghan Beaulieu spoke about Anthony as a student.
“Anthony is a natural leader whose positivity, motivation, and kindness make a lasting impact on everyone around him,” Ms. Beaulieu said. “He has been an integral part of our DECA chapter throughout high school and will be greatly missed. And without question, he is the absolute best Canva designer we have ever had.”
Close friend and teammate, senior Randall (Bubba) Martin, also shared a few words about Anthony,
“Anthony was one of the first people to become my friend when I moved to the school,” Bubba shared. “He’s a great teammate on the basketball court, and I really enjoyed playing with him.”
With so much already accomplished, Anthony is committed to Clemson University, where he plans to major in business. The Flying Onion wishes Anthony nothing but success in his next chapter and is excited to see his future achievements.
