In the newest edition of the long running Senior Spotlight, The Flying Onion has chosen Chris Davis.
Chris fits a balance that is extremely hard to attain in high school. He is a talented, dedicated, and hardworking student, but is also well liked among his peers. Chris also maintains academic and personal excellence, but does it humbly, without demanding attention or praise.
In addition to this, he is well perceived. Those who don’t know him know of his good reputation, and those who do know him will sing his praises endlessly. Chris is the type to talk to anyone, regardless of their background and social status, and you can bet it will be a wonderful conversation.
Chris is a varsity hurdler on the track team, holding several Danvers records. He is also on the varsity squad for the DHS golf team. Overall, Chris is an accomplished athlete.
His academics are excellent, too. Chris maintains the high honor roll, and is enrolled in multiple AP courses, such as AP government, and AP statistics. He is also a member of multiple honor societies, like National English Honors Society and the National Honor Society.
Braden Serino, his peer and fellow track athlete, had great things to say about Chris.
“Smart, handsome, athletic. What do these things have in common? They would all be fall short if you used them to describe Chris Davis,” Braden said. “Everyone should at Danvers High School should strive to match Chris Davis.”
Mr. Alex Carroll, his Chemistry teacher, added that ““Chris is a awesome student and person. He crushed it in chemistry class. It’s also great having him out on the track team competing in the hurdles. He works hard and brings a lot of chemistry to the hurdle squad.”
Chris plans to go into mechanical engineering at tufts or northeastern, and we all wish him the best of luck.
