This week’s Senior Spotlight is going to Thomas Fish. Thomas is well liked by his teachers and peers and is a well known face to all his friends, always making his colleagues laugh and putting a smile on their face.
Thomas plays on the boys’ varsity golf team and is a captain of the ice hockey team at Danvers High School. He is always putting his best foot forward – whether it’s in the classroom or during athletic activities, his effort never goes unnoticed. Outside of school he is welcoming, thoughtful, funny, considerate, and fun to be around. He loves traveling, and goes to Florida often.
Thomas is a member of the National Honors Society, he was also named to NEC All Conference for golf and team MVP.
We asked Thomas’ friend, senior Drew Godfried, about him, and Drew described Thomas as,
“A great kid because he is always doing the right thing.”
“He’s the funniest kid [I’ve] ever met,” Drew added
Next we spoke to English teacher Mr. John White, who’s been an ELA teacher for half of Thomas’ high school experience.
¨I’ve had the privilege of teaching Thomas as a sophomore and again this year, and he continues to impress me. Though he appears laid-back, he approaches academics and athletics with a quiet intensity and a strong inner drive,” Mr. White continued. “He’s bright, committed, and always willing to put in the work. The determination he shows in the classroom is the same grit he brings to the ice. I’m excited to see him help lead the team this season.”
Thomas’ top two choices are University of Tampa and University of South Carolina, where plans on majoring in finance after high school. We wish Thomas the best of luck in his future plans beyond high school.
